![]() ![]() Road elevation is dependent on the height of the ground on which the start of the road is built. The default elevation step is 12 meters, but it can be adjusted to 3, 6, or 12 meters. The elevation step (the change in height caused by pressing PAGE UP or PAGE DOWN once) can be changed by clicking on the vertical bar next to the road types. To build a straight road, first click the left mouse button at the starting point, then move the mouse cursor to plan the road placement, and click again to build the road. Trees and props will be hidden when a road is built through them, and will reappear once the road is demolished. Ordinary zoned buildings don't enjoy such privileges and will be automatically demolished. If city service buildings and/or other “ploppable” buildings are in the way of a road, they must be demolished or relocated to build it. Also, when right-clicking a one-way road of any type, including highways, the driving direction is reversed.
